Tyler Lake is an excellent place for an afternoon paddle or a fishing session. Fishers may catch bass, perch, pickerel, or catfish from this reliable fishery.

The Mohawk Mountain State Park and Ski Area are just west of the lake. The park has a spectacular selection of trails for hiking, biking, or cross-country skiing that feature captivating landscapes.

The ski area has been a popular skiing and snowboarding location since it opened in 1947; it is now a great set up of eight ski lifts, 26 trails, tubing slopes, and three surface conveyors.

An array of campgrounds surround the area to suit any camper. Adventurers choose many nearby parks, including Housatonic Meadows State Park, Stillwater Pond State Park, or Sunnybrook State Park.
