Leo Lake is a smaller lake just a few miles southwest of Waukegan, Illinois. Leo Lake is one of the White Birch Lakes, along with Lake Naomi.

The lake has a surface area of 13.7 acres and an average depth of 5.6 feet. It is located within Ela Township, and White Birch Lake Association members are the only ones allowed access. Leo Lake is under a 40-minute drive from the rolling shores of Lake Michigan.

Swimming, Fishing, and Golfing

Swimming and fishing in Leo Lake can only be done by members of the White Birch Lake Association. There is a beach and a boat launch available for residents.

Gas motors are not allowed on Leo Lake, but residents can enjoy non-gas-powered boats, kayaking, canoeing, and more.

The lake has been stocked with rock bass, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and fathead minnows. So, anglers have a higher chance of catching these species on Leo Lake.

Leo Lake has several golf courses located just a few miles from the water's edge. Kemper Lakes Golf Club, Hawthorn Woods Country Club, the Club at Wynstone, and Biltmore Country Club are some of the premier options.
